Jagran correspondent, Panipat. In Old Gudmandi, at around 9 pm on Tuesday night, a slip was handed over to the Carrot Pak businessman and a demand of Rs 1 crore was made in two days. During this time, three youths on a bike fired four-five shots at the businessman outside the shop. The businessman had a narrow escape when the bullet hit the glass in front of the counter. Police have found three bullet shells from the spot. The incident was captured in CCTV. The police got shopkeeper Manoj Mittal, who was injured by glass fragments on his face, medically examined. A case has been registered on his complaint and investigation is being done.
Rajendra Gajarpak is a sweet shop behind the Radha-Krishna temple in Old Gudmandi. On Tuesday night at around 9 o'clock, two youths came to the shop one by one. First, a young man who entered the shop was asking the owner Manoj Mittal about the price of a box of barfi. At the same time, his other friend reached the shop behind him and gave a letter to Manoj Mittal. After this, three youths who came on bike from the other side fired four-five consecutive shots.
All the bullets hit the glass in front of the counter. After the incident, the five youths fled on different routes. The servant working in the shop and warehouse immediately informed the owner's relatives about this. The servants were preparing to expand the shop. One laborer was in the shop and the rest were in the warehouse.
Guard duty imposed outside the shop
Police station in-charge Gulshan Kumar said that guard duty has been imposed outside the shop. CCTV is being scrutinized. Meanwhile, DSP Narendra Kadian said that a case of firing on a shopkeeper has come to light in Gudmandi. Both the criminals demanding extortion have been captured in CCTV. To arrest the miscreants, a team of all three CIA, ANC and police station and outpost police has been deployed.
