Jagran correspondent, Ranchi. Due to repair and development works in various areas of the city on Friday, power supply will be disrupted for the stipulated time. The electricity department has appealed to consumers to cooperate and make necessary preparations.
Cable stringing work will be done in 'Harmu New Feeder' of PSS Harmu of Sub Division Harmu under Division Central. Due to this, power supply to Patel Chowk Harmu area will be temporarily closed from 10 am to 12 noon.
During this period, power supply will be affected in the surrounding areas including Patel Chowk, Chetnotoli, Bali Baicha, Shivdayal Nagar Harmu. The department said that the nature of the work is cable stringing, which will make the supply system more secure and smooth in future.
Electricity supply will remain disrupted in these areas
Under the RDSS work under Sub Divisional Kokar, electricity will remain closed in many localities from 10 am to 4.30 pm. The areas where supply will be disrupted include Haider Ali Road, area around Khatal, Anand Nagar, Lowadih, Sister Bungalow, Milan Chowk Chutia, Ganpat Nagar Chutia, Ambedkar Nagar, Amethia Nagar, Tetri Toli and Namkum.
According to departmental officials, this work is being done with the aim of strengthening the electrical infrastructure. Apart from this, work will also be done under RDSS scheme in 11 KV New Morhabadi feeder under Sub Divisional RMCH. Here the work of converting the bare wire of LT into covered cable will be done.
Due to this, power supply will be disrupted in Ravindra Nagar Phase 2, Durgavati Chowk, RC Mishra Gali and Bodiya Road areas from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. The electricity department has requested the consumers to complete the necessary work in advance during the scheduled time and cooperate for the inconvenience. As soon as the work is completed, power supply will be normalized in the concerned areas.
