Preparations have been completed in the temples for the worship of Mahadev on Mahashivratri. Arrangements of Ganga water have been made for the devotees in the temples. Special arrangements have also been made for worship in the temples of societies and colonies.
Special preparations have been made for Mahashivratri in the temples of Trans Hindon areas like Vaishali, Vasundhara, Kaushambi, Rajendra Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Indirapuram etc. 21 Narmadeshwar Maha Shivalingas have been called from Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga for Rudrabhishek in the ancient Sanatan Dharma temple of Kaushambi.
Here, after Jalabhishek in the morning, 21 couples will perform Rudrabhishek together from 8 pm to 10:30 pm. After performing Rudrabhishek to all the couples together, Shivlinga will be given to them. After this, Maha Aarti and Prasad distribution will also be done. At the same time, preparations have been made for the devotees on Shivratri in Durga Mata Temple of Mohannagar.
Barricades have been installed to manage the crowd. There will be separate queues for male and female devotees. Pandit Dr. Girish Mishra, the head priest of Shri Shiv Shakti Temple located in Parshvanath Paradise Society of Mohan Nagar, said that all the preparations have been completed in the temple. The temples are also decorated with different types of flowers including marigold and roses.

ACP Shalimar Garden Atul Kumar Singh held a meeting with the local people regarding Mahashivratri. During this time he appealed to the people to maintain peace and order. People also gave their suggestions. National coordinator of Sanjha Prayas social organization Jugal Kishore, Neeraj Tyagi, Rakesh Jain etc. were present.
Pandit Rajendra Pandey of Sanatan Dharma Temple told that to worship Lord Shiva, take bath in the morning and wear clean clothes. Take a pledge to fast for Lord Shiva. After that, anoint Lord Shiva with Ganga water, milk, curd, honey, Belpatra, sandalwood and Lord Bhole's favorite things and offer sweets in the Shiva temple or at home. Chant Om Namah Shivay.
