Dialogue associate, Jagran Kanpur. A girl riding a scooter while on duty was seriously injured after being hit by a speeding tractor near Guba Garden on Old Shivli Road on Sunday morning.
The police admitted the girl to LLR Hospital, where she died. The deceased was identified as 29-year-old daughter Divya, resident of Chakratanpur, Bithoor.
According to father Biharilal, the daughter was working in a company located in the housing development area. In the morning she left home on a scooter to go to duty. Divya's only brother died of illness in the year 2023.
Since then she was taking care of the household responsibilities. Police station in-charge Rajendra Kant Shukla said that the tractor has been seized. The owner is also in custody. The driver is absconding. He is being traced.
