Trains delayed by hours due to fog, many major trains including Tejas Rajdhani affected
Jagran correspondent, Patna. Dense winter fog has once again severely affected rail traffic. Due to dense fog in North India, the speed of trains became very slow. Most of the trains coming to Patna from Delhi and Mumbai were affected by this.
From premium trains like Rajdhani Express to special and normal trains, all were affected by delays. The biggest delay was of Bhagalpur Garib Rath Express (train number 22406), which reached Patna Junction with a delay of 16 hours 5 minutes.
Apart from these, many other trains also reached Patna Junction and Danapur station late. The long delay caused immense inconvenience to passengers. Some passengers got their tickets canceled for Howrah and other long distance trains.
According to railway officials, low visibility due to fog forced trains to run at slow speeds, causing widespread delays. Passengers are advised to keep an eye on the weather conditions for the next few days and check the train status in advance.
