Digital Desk, New Delhi. Indian Railways has given a special gift of 3 Amrit Bharat trains to Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. These trains will run weekly. This is being considered as a relief news for the passengers before the upcoming elections in both the states.
These trains will run on Tambaram-Sarangachhi, Tiruchirappalli-New Jalpaiguri and Nagercoil-New Jalpaiguri routes. The Railway Board has formally announced the running time of the train.
How many coaches in the train?
The new Amrit Bharat Express will have 8 sleeper and 11 second class sitting coaches. Apart from this, there will be a separate coach for disabled passengers in the train. Besides, a pantry car will also be present in the train.
When will the train run?
Amrit Bharat trains are considered a cheaper alternative to Vande Bharat trains. There are no AC coaches in this train. The government had proposed to run 11 Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat trains to connect several states including Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. These 3 trains are also part of this scheme. These trains can get the green signal from January 17.
There was a demand for new trains for a long time in the states of North-East and South India including West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha. Especially the Chennai-Howrah route is counted among the busiest routes in the country. In such a situation, it will become much easier for people to travel from one state to another with the new Amrit Bharat trains.
