Jagran Correspondent, Asansol: Along with the entire country, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chand Bose was celebrated in Burnpur Steel City also. Like every year, in front of the grand statue of Netaji in front of Bharti Bhawan of Ispat Nagri, this year too, Director-in-charge of Iesco Steel Plant Surjit Mishra, Executive Director Human Resources UP Singh, Executive Director Finance RK Sinha, CGM Municipal Services Vijendra Veer, CGM Human Resources Jitendra Kumar, DGM Town Electricity Department Rajesh Gupta, AGM Municipal Services Rakesh Ranjan, AGM Rakesh Roshan, Senior Manager Sanjay Kumar, AITUC leader RN. Dozens of people, including Singh, paid their respects to Netaji by offering flowers at his statue. About Netaji, CGM Human Resources Jitendra Kumar said that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23 January 1897 in a Hindu Bengali family in Cuttack city of Odisha.
