Police have arrested two accused in the case of shooting a student for refusing to drink alcohol outside the house in DLF Dilshad Extension of Shalimar Garden police station area. Three accomplices of the accused are still absconding. The police is busy searching for them. The father of the victim student had filed a report against the accused. Since then the accused were absconding. On Tuesday, the police arrested the accused.
ACP Shalimar Garden Atul Kumar Singh said that among the arrested accused are Sunny and Chandu, residents of DLF. While his associates Rihan, Amit and Aamir's brother are absconding. The police is busy searching for them. The police have arrested the accused from Shalimar Garden area.
The arrested accused told that Dayas Choudhary used to forbid them from drinking alcohol every day. Frustrated with this, he committed the crime. Let us tell you that Dayas Chaudhary, son of Shailesh Chaudhary, resident of B-Block of Dilshad Extension DLF, is a second year BA student. He was returning home from the gym on a January night.
During this time, when he reached outside the house, Chandu, Rihaan, Aamir, Aamir's brother and Sunny were sitting in a rickshaw outside the building, drinking alcohol and creating ruckus by abusing. When Dayas refused to drink alcohol, they beat him up and Aamir fired at him.
In this incident, a bullet hit his palm and he got injured while the accused fled from the spot. He was admitted to GTB Hospital. Shailesh Chaudhary had filed a report in the case naming the accused. ACP says that the absconding accused are being searched.
