Samvad Sutra, Ayodhya. Two tax collectors have been removed for negligence in revenue collection. This action has been taken against Ayodhyadham zone tax collectors Omprakash Srivastava and Bhola Gupta. Both have been removed from tax collection and linked to encroachment and advertising parking system. Not only this, clarification has also been sought from two inspectors.
Along with this, the Municipal Corporation has decided to take strict action against the big defaulting hotel operators. Recently, Mayor Mahant Girish Pati Tripathi and Municipal Commissioner Jayendra Kumar had held a review meeting related to non-tax in the Municipal Corporation office, in which action has been taken against the negligent tax section employees. The Municipal Commissioner directed to expedite the recovery of outstanding revenue.

During the review, Chief Assessing Officer Gajendra Kumar said that letters have been sent to all government departments including Ayodhya Development Authority, Police Department to deposit the dues. During this, the Municipal Commissioner directed to collect tax from residential and commercial buildings falling on 14 Kosi and Panchkosi Parikrama Marg.
During the talks with the Power Corporation officials, he directed them to assess the tax on the covered area or plot of the transformer installed in the city and inform them, so that the tax can be deposited from PCL on time.
The Municipal Commissioner instructed the Tax Superintendents and Revenue Inspectors that complaints are coming from the citizens that unreasonable demands are being made in the name of first imposing higher taxes and then reducing them. Expressing displeasure over this, the Municipal Commissioner warned of strict action. He has sought clarification from Ayodhyadham Revenue Inspector Govind Prakash Pandey and Shamsher Singh due to low revenue collection.

Revenue Inspector Pratibha Srivastava said that notice demand is being prepared and sent to the major hotels falling in her work area. During this, instructions were given to make parking arrangements for two-wheelers in Narendralay and to remove unusable vehicles from there. All zonal officers should bring new buildings in their respective areas under 100% tax coverage.
Additional Municipal Commissioner Sumit Kumar, Zonal Officer Ashok Kumar Gupta, Saurabh Nath, Chief Tax Assessment Officer Gajendra Kumar, Tax Assessment Officer Vinay Pratap Singh, Tax Superintendent Jaiprakash, Vinay Kumar Gaur, Revenue Inspector Anil Yadav, Devi Prasad, Virendra Patel, Govind Prakash Pandey, Shamsher Singh, Swapnil Singh, Pratima Srivastava, Vandana etc. were present in the meeting.
