Jagran correspondent, Sahibabad. During checking in the police station area, the police caught two accused with opium from Rajiv Cut near Mohannagar outpost. A woman is also included in these. The woman was carrying opium hidden inside her saree.

Police station sub-inspector Puran Singh has filed a case in the matter. ACP Sahibabad Shweta Yadav said that when the female informer informed that both of them were standing, the police reached the spot. On searching both of them, opium was recovered from their bags.

Among the arrested accused are Sunil Kumar resident of Asadiya Chatra Jharkhand and Sunita Devi resident of Hazari Bagh Jharkhand. Both of them told that they were standing there to sell opium. He had brought opium from Chhapra, Bihar and had to supply opium to someone near the border. The police has claimed that the price of opium was Rs 25 lakh.

Bike riding miscreants snatched mobile

In Kaushambi police station area, bike-riding miscreants snatched the mobile phone of a youth returning home from the hospital. In the case registered, Rajkumar, a resident of Vaishali Sector-1, told that he was returning home from the hospital on January 12 at around 9.30 pm.

While crossing the road near Max Hospital on the route from Delhi to Ghaziabad, two youths came on a bike and snatched the mobile phone and ran away. Due to darkness and traffic, he could not note down the number of the bike. ACP Indirapuram Abhishek Srivastava said that the accused is being searched on the basis of CCTV footage.
