During this time, he will stay in the DDU unit for about two hours and take stock of the arrangements. After this, the Managing Director will also inaugurate the machine shed located at Manauri of Prayagraj Unit. This will be the third visit of the Managing Director to the DDU unit.
Director (Planning Project) Pawan Kumar Rai will also be present with him. The special thing is that the Director of Freight Corridor Planning Project will inspect the DDU unit for the first time. Under the leadership of Managing Director Praveen Kumar, the Dedicated Freight Corridor has made great achievements in the field of freight transportation.
The Eastern Freight Corridor is playing an important role in strengthening the country's economy. The freight corridor has also proved helpful in operating passenger trains during big events like Maha Kumbh and Magh Mela. There is good news for the loco pilots and guards who take the goods trains to their destinations on time.
Along with increasing the freight traffic, the freight corridor has also worried about the health of loco pilots and guards. This is the reason why DFC has constructed a 150-bed running room for these personnel. Loco pilots and guards traveling long distances will be able to do yoga and meditation in the running room. This will remove their laziness. You will also remain healthy. A lot of changes are being seen in Railways with time. To increase freight traffic, a separate track was laid.
Along with laying the rail tracks, the freight corridor took care of signals, electricity, lighting as well as security. Apart from this, New Junction and New Yard were also established. After work is done at every point to increase the speed of goods trains, a plan has been made to provide facilities for loco pilots and guards also. The reason for this is that earlier goods trains used to run on the Indian Railways line, so a running room was built within a few kilometers.
Now goods trains are covering long distances on the freight corridor. This is the reason why DFC has made a running room near its new junction. Not only this, a vehicle will be arranged to take the loco pilots and guards arriving with goods trains to the running room at New Junction.
