Jagran correspondent, Shamli. BSA has issued a new order with the aim of improving the education system of council schools and ensuring activeness of teachers in the classrooms. Now, if any teacher is chatting in private groups during school hours, action will be taken against them by the department. Only departmental work and teaching work will be done during school hours. Basic Education Officer has clarified that there will be a complete ban on personal use of mobile during school hours. A seven member team was formed to monitor it.
BSA Lata Rathore said that it has often been seen that teachers remain active on internet media platforms, especially WhatsApp, during teaching work. Under the new rules, if a teacher makes any comment on a WhatsApp group during school hours, sends unnecessary messages or is found indulging in any kind of non-departmental discussion, it will be considered as indiscipline.
The department believes that excessive use of mobile phones distracts teachers from their teaching work, which has a direct impact on students' education and their future. This order was issued after the dispute between teachers recently. Which all teachers will have to follow from Monday.
A seven member team will monitor. To effectively implement this order on the ground, a special seven member monitoring team has also been formed. This team will keep a close eye on the private groups formed by the department and teachers. The team will ensure that no teacher is active on digital mediums for personal work during school timings.
Using school time is not acceptable. This step has been taken not just to maintain discipline but to improve the quality of education. The primary responsibility of teachers is to provide quality education to children. School time should be completely dedicated to the students. Limited use of mobile may be permitted for departmental work, but using school time for personal entertainment or chatting will not be acceptable. If caught, action will be taken against the teacher.-Lata Rathore, BSA
