Melbourne, PTI: Two Indian-origin players Aryan Sharma and John James have been included in defending champions Australia's 15-member squad for the Men's Under-19 Cricket World Cup to be held in Namibia and Zimbabwe from January 15 to February 6. Aryan is a useful batsman and slow left-arm spinner, while James is an all-rounder who bowls right-arm medium pace.

Apart from the cricketers of Indian origin, Australia's team also includes two players of Sri Lankan origin (Naden Coore and Nitish Samuel) and one player of Chinese origin (Alex Lee Young). Oliver Peak is the captain of the team.
Tim Neilson, head coach of Australia's junior team, said that we are very happy to announce a strong and balanced squad for the ICC Under-19 World Cup. Our focus has been on selecting players whose skills complement each other and who we can expect to achieve success in the tournament.
He said that the players who have been selected had performed well in the Under-19 series against India in September and the recent National Under-19 Championship played in Perth. Australia have been drawn in Group A along with Ireland, Japan and Sri Lanka. The team will reach Namibia in early January and play practice matches from January 9 to 14.
