Two Killed, Arson And Huge Ruckus Due To Rapid Firing During Procession In Roorkee's Binarasi Village.

During this, one party opened indiscriminate firing with illegal weapons. In which one youth died due to bullet injury and four people were injured. Whereas the police found a dead body of a person in a field near the village.

It is suspected that he died after a conflict between two parties. However, the angry mob allowed the body to be removed from the spot after four and a half hours. The mob set fire to one house and also vandalized ten houses. PAC had to be called to control the crowd.

While taking the accused into custody, the angry mob also tried to attack. The police somehow removed the accused from there. One injured person has been referred.

It is being told that there was already enmity between the two parties. The attackers are said to be people from the main party. At the same time, even before this, there have been cases of conflict and confrontation at many places on Ravidas Jayanti.

In Binarasi village of Bhagwanpur police station area, there is a rivalry going on between two parties regarding the election for the post of head in the Panchayat elections to be held in the year 2022. Bhandara was organized in the village on Sunday after the procession of Sant Ravidas Jayanti.

After the end of the Bhandara, Anand (27), his brother Vishal (25), Yogendra Ghagha (23), Gagandeep and Joni residents of the village, Binarsi, started going towards the forest for defecation. Meanwhile, people from the other party came there and an argument broke out between them over some issue.

Within no time, about 30 to 35 people from the other side reached the spot with illegal weapons and opened fire indiscriminately. Anand died on the spot after being shot near the stomach. At the same time, his brother Vishal was seriously injured due to bullet injury, Yogendra due to shrapnel injury near his face and Gagandeep due to bullet injury in his leg.

At the same time, the attackers injured Johnny by attacking him on his head with the butt of the gun. After the incident, the accused fled from there waving weapons. Angered by the incident, the mob set fire to the house of the main accused. In which all the household items including two bikes were burnt.

While seven houses were heavily vandalized. The family members ran away from there to save their lives. On receiving the information, Bhagwanpur police station in-charge Inspector Suryabhushan Negi reached the spot with the police team.

When the police found themselves short in front of the crowd, police forces were called from PAC and nearby police stations. The police locked the accused in a room to protect them from the crowd. SP Dehat Shekhar Suyal also reached the spot.

The angry crowd allowed the body to be lifted after about four and a half hours. As soon as the police started taking two people into custody, the mob tried to attack. The police somehow removed the accused from there.

Police detained five accused. At the same time, the angry crowd did not allow the dead body to be lifted till late night. SP Dehat Shekhar Suyal said that a youth has died. At present the police is busy maintaining peace. No one will be allowed to spoil the atmosphere.

Meanwhile, after a conflict between the two parties, the body of Mangeram (50) was recovered near a field near the village late in the evening. Mangeram is suspected to have died in an attack with sticks during the conflict.

After the conflict, the family members informed the police about Mangeram's disappearance. After which the police started the search. Mangeram is said to be from the other party. SP Dehat said that there is a possibility of Mangeram's death due to the attack with sticks.
