Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. Vasant Vihar police station has arrested two notorious criminals wanted for robbing a bag full of money from a car rider in Vasant Vihar. The complainant had fallen asleep inside the car while the family members were going for dinner at a restaurant in Vasant Vihar, when the miscreants broke the glass of the car, overpowered the man, threatened him and ran away with the bag full of money and other valuables.
Crooks are involved in 13 criminal cases
Both have been found involved in 13 previous criminal cases of theft, robbery, attempt to murder and Arms Act. On their investigation, Rs 1.12 lakh cash, an iPad and the Honda Amaze car used in the crime have been recovered.
According to South-West District DCP Amit Goyal, the names of the two arrested robbers are Mohammad Nadeem and Ravindra. Both are residents of Daya Basti Indralok. On January 10 at 11 pm, complainant F Hussain had parked his car near Alkausar Restaurant, Palam Marg, Vasant Vihar.
His family members went inside the restaurant for dinner, while the complainant slept inside the vehicle. Meanwhile, two miscreants parked their car behind the complainant's car. One of them broke the rear window of the car and the other overpowered the complainant and looted a bag full of money and other items and fled from the spot.
Inspector Rahul Roshan's team, based on the registration of the car used in the crime and technical surveillance, arrested the duo from Daya Basti Indralok slum. After interrogating him, the car was also recovered.
