Two policemen who left the old mobile phone and ran away with a new one, suspended.
Jagran correspondent, Jaunpur. Two policemen, who left the old mobile at a mobile shop located at JC intersection in Line Bazar police station area and bought a new mobile phone, have been suspended. This action was taken after the video became popular on internet media.
Constable Dhananjay Bind posted in the police line and Mithilesh Yadav posted in PRV attached to Baksha police station reached the shop to buy a new mobile phone. Saw some expensive mobile phones and as soon as he got the chance, he left his old mobile and went out with a new one. Someone posted the video on X.
When its video became popular, the responsibility of investigation was handed over to CO Sadar Devesh Singh. He said that after this matter came to notice on Saturday, a letter was written to the Superintendent of Police for investigation and action against the two constables.
Additional Superintendent of Police Ayush Srivastava said that on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Kunwar Anupam Singh, both the policemen have been suspended with immediate effect.
