The properties are located in Govindpura in Chowk police station area of Varanasi.
Jagran correspondent, Varanasi. The properties of individuals or entities who have moved from India to Pakistan, a country at war, are managed by the Government of India, so that they are not used against national interests. In this context, two properties of six Pakistani citizens will be handed over to the government. These properties are located in Govindpura of Chowk police station area of Varanasi.
The letter issued by the Enemy Property Tribunal Office, Lucknow, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has been pasted in Sadar Tehsil. It has been mentioned in the letter that house number CK 43/164 and house number CK 43/171 located at Govindpura in Chowk police station area of the district of Pakistani citizens Sheikh Kamaluddin, Sheikh Jamaluddin, Najibun Bibi, Hajra Bibi, Zohra Bibi and Tahira Bibi are in the process of being acquired as enemy property.
The said letter has been sent by the Chief Supervisor of the Tribunal to Deputy Custodian of Enemy Property and District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar. On the orders of the District Magistrate, objections have been sought from the people by pasting notices on the notice board of Tehsil Sadar and other public places. The notice states that if any person has any objection regarding declaring the said properties of Pakistani citizens as enemy property, then he can present his case at the Lucknow office of the tribunal.
If any objection is received in this process, further decision will be taken on its basis. If no objection is raised, the properties will be declared enemy property. An investigation into enemy property in the district was conducted in 2022, in which more than a hundred enemy properties were revealed. Now the administration is putting up a notice asking for objections from the people, after which the government will take a decision on the properties.
The purpose of this process is to ensure that the assets of citizens of warring countries are not used in any way against the national interests of India. This step is extremely important from security and administrative point of view.
This initiative of the government makes it clear that it is serious about the safety of its citizens and protecting national interests. This process is being adopted to ensure transparency and justice in the management of enemy properties.
In this context, local citizens have also been given an opportunity to express their opinions, so that any kind of misunderstanding or dispute can be avoided. This process is not only an administrative action, but it also reflects the government's commitment towards protecting the rights and properties of citizens.
The process of management of properties of Pakistani nationals in Varanasi is progressing, and the local administration is taking all necessary steps in this matter. Citizens are expected to actively participate in the process and submit their objections, if any. Thus, this case is not only important from a legal point of view, but it can also have wider implications from a social and political point of view.
