Two Smugglers Including A Woman Arrested In Meerut, 10.5 Kg Ganja Recovered

Jagran correspondent, Meerut. Brahmapuri police station has arrested two ganja smugglers including a woman near Odeon Cinema. 10.5 kg of ganja has been recovered from the possession of the accused. The police have registered a case against both of them under the NDPS Act and sent them to jail in judicial custody.

According to the police, vehicle checking was being done near Odeon Cinema on Friday. Meanwhile, seeing the police team, an e-rickshaw driver accelerated. On suspicion, he was stopped and the e-rickshaw was searched and packets of ganja were recovered from under the sheet. The weight of ganja was found to be 10.5 kg.

After this, the driver and the woman sitting in the e-rickshaw were taken into custody and taken to the police station. During interrogation, the accused were identified as Tanya, wife of Ajay and Rahul, residents of Jawahar Nagar, Rohta Road.
