Jagran Correspondent, Rudrapur: Accusing the brother-in-law of occupying the house in connivance with the MLA, his son, the councilor and the police, a woman resident of Housing Development took petrol and reached the SSP office to commit suicide.
As soon as police and intelligence personnel came to know about this, they became alert and with the help of women police personnel, they caught him and took him to SP City. Where after hearing the complaint of the woman, SP City investigated and assured to take necessary action. The woman warned that if the encroachment was not removed from the house, she would commit suicide in the SSP office.
On Saturday, Awas Vikas resident Raj Bala Jain took petrol in a bottle and reached the SSP office to commit suicide. As soon as this was known, there was panic among the police officers and employees.
Police and intelligence personnel quickly swung into action and with the help of women police, caught Raj Bala Jain and took him directly to SP City Uttam Singh Negi.
Where Raj Bala Jain told SP City Uttam Singh Negi, CO Pantnagar DR Verma, Police Station Head Transit Camp Mohan Pandey that brother-in-law's family lived with him for 28 years.
Later he built a house in Jaynagar Dineshpur and Anand Vihar of Transit Camp. Three years ago, brother-in-law went to Anand Vihar Colony Transit Camp to live with the family.
Alleged that now his brother-in-law wants to take over his house. Due to which there is a dispute going on between them and the matter is also going on in the court.
On Friday, Awas Vikas Chowki police had called him to the outpost. When she reached the post, her brother-in-law, with the help of the Housing Development Councilor and the son of the Kichha MLA, in connivance with the Housing Development Police, broke the lock of her house and took possession of it. Raj Bala Jain demanded him to get possession of the house.
Warned that if she did not get possession of the house, she would commit suicide in the SSP office. SP City Uttam Singh Negi said that the woman has been asked to submit a complaint letter. Necessary action will be taken after investigation.
