Jagran correspondent, Sahajanwa. The uncontrolled container wreaked havoc on Monday night. The driver hit several vehicles one after the other, injuring six people. The condition of two of them is serious.

One injured is undergoing treatment at BRD Medical College. This accident happened in Sahjanwan Nagar Panchayat. After the incident, the driver parked the container in Gida and ran away. The police is investigating the matter

According to local people, the container was entering Sahjanwa Nagar town from Ghagsara side. Due to the driver being drunk, he first hit a car and damaged it. After this, the driver proceeded at high speed in an attempt to escape from there.

The container hit a bike as it climbed the Luchui overbridge. During this time, the driver somehow saved his life by jumping from the car. After this, while trying to escape, he hit another bike moving ahead. In the accident, 60 year old Niranjan Prasad, resident of Domhar Mafi of Sahjanwa police station and 30 year old Deepchand Maurya, resident of Village West of Campierganj police station, were seriously injured.

The people present on the spot immediately sent both of them to the Community Health Center, from where they were referred to the district hospital as their condition became critical. Niranjan Prasad was sent to the medical college from the district hospital, while Deepchand's treatment continued. Apart from this, the container also hit and damaged two other bikes parked on the roadside and ran away.

When the police went after the information, they found the container parked in Gida but the driver had absconded. Police Station Head Mahesh Chaubey said that two people had suffered serious injuries. One is out of danger, after first aid the doctors have sent him home. No one has filed any complaint yet. The vehicle is in the custody of the police.
