Jagran correspondent, Jaipur. Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R.Patil said in Jaipur that Indus river water will not be given to Pakistan. The country's water resources will first be used in the interest of India and the government is taking concrete steps in this direction.

The water going to Pakistan will be stopped and given to various states of the country. States like Delhi, Punjab and Haryana etc. will get direct benefit of this water.

Patil said that a detailed project report has been prepared to divert water going to Pakistan. At present Rajasthan has the least water. But in the coming time, Rajasthan will have maximum water.

Discussing Jal Jeevan Mission, he said that it is the responsibility of the states to provide water to every household. But for the first time the Central Government has given 50 percent financial assistance to the states under this scheme.

More than four thousand complaints related to this mission have been received, for which 119 teams were formed to investigate. Action has also been taken against the culprits, including a former minister of Rajasthan.
