State Bureau, Ranchi. Ramdas Athawale, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, has asked the state government to send proposals for the construction of old age homes in all the districts.
He said that the number of elderly people is continuously increasing and such facilities are necessary in every district for their dignified life. On receiving the proposal from the state government, necessary cooperation will be provided from the central government level.
Special emphasis on drug-free India campaign
In the meeting held with the officials of Women, Child Development and Social Security Department of the State Government, the Union Minister stressed on effectively implementing the Drug Free India campaign.
He said that drug addiction is becoming a serious problem for the society, which impacts youth and families the most. There is a need for concrete action along with awareness campaign in this direction.
OBC students will get scholarship soon
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Athawale assured regarding the pending scholarship of OBC students. He said that he has already talked to the ministry officials in this regard and soon the scholarship amount will be made available to Jharkhand, which will provide relief to thousands of students.
New state working committee of RPI (Athawale) declared
Ramdas Athawale, as the National President of the Republican Party of India (Athawale), announced the new working committee of Jharkhand state. He told that Shiv Oraon has been made the state president of the party. Athawale said that the party will continue to work strongly for social justice and rights of the deprived sections.
Baba Saheb's statue will be installed in Maithon Dam
The Union Minister also announced the installation of a grand statue of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in Maithon Dam. He said that he has already discussed this matter with the Union Energy Ministry and soon the process will be taken forward in this direction. He described it as a symbol of social harmony and inspiration.
