Under the process of determining the centers for the high school and intermediate examinations of the year 2026 of the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UP Board), partial changes have been made in the list of examination centers of the district. After the meeting of the district committee chaired by DM Arvind Mallappa Bangari, the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) office has added two schools to the list as new examination centres, while the names of eight schools have been removed from the examination center list.
District committee removed eight, added two, determined 154 centers
According to the new center advice issued by the DIOS office after the recommendation of the district committee, Chitragupt Higher Secondary School and Anwari Nilofar Girls Inter College located in Shahganj have been made the new centers for the UP Board Exam 2026. Both the schools have been found eligible under the aided category.
Board released examination list of 160 centers
Under the center deletion advice, eight schools of the district have been removed from the list of 160 centers issued by the board level. These include the names of Holman Institute High School located at Collectorate, Government Girls Inter College Kheragarh, Mufid-e-Aam Inter College, Shri Pitam Singh Inter College Doora, Shri Ram Inter College Karahi (Fatehpur Sikri), Shri Padam Singh Inter College Abhedaupura, Shri Jagdish Smarak Inter College Surauti and Shri Balveer Singh Inter College Garhi Sahaja Mahavatpur. Of these, there is one government, two aided and four unaided category schools. Government and aided schools have been removed from the examination center list due to lack of physical resources, while the remaining unfunded schools have been removed from the list on the basis of incomplete examination standards and previous years' reports and administrative investigation.
Objections sought till December 22
DIOS Chandra Shekhar has clarified that these amendments made in the center list will be considered final and on the basis of this the board examinations of the year 2026 will be conducted. Formal information about this has been sent to the concerned schools. The board has also been informed about this. However, objections and representations have been sought from the board level also on the revised list, the last date of which is December 22.
