Jagran correspondent, Aligarh. This time the digital system has been further tightened to make the high school and intermediate examinations of UP Board cheating-free. Now Munnabhai, who appears in the examination in someone else's name, will not be able to even enter the centre.

To prevent such fake candidates, the board is preparing to link the admit cards with Aadhaar number and make Aadhaar verification mandatory at the centre. If there are no technical problems, the system will be implemented this year itself.

UP Board High School and Intermediate examinations will run from 18 February to 12 March. 136 centers have been proposed for the examinations.

This time, 51 thousand 480 students (29 thousand 17 boys and 22 thousand 463 girls) are enrolled in the high school. 49 thousand 146 students have been enrolled in Inter. This includes 29 thousand 139 boys and 20 thousand seven girls.

The board is taking the help of technology to make the examinations cheating free. On one hand, colleges equipped with CCTV cameras have been made centers so that monitoring can be done from the district headquarters. On the other hand, geo-tagging of each center has been done. Along with this, changes have also been made in the answer sheets.

Preparations are underway to issue identity cards containing QR codes for the center administrator, invigilator, examiners and other staff in the examination, so that no outsider or ineligible teacher can take up duty at the centre.

Aadhaar will tighten the noose on fake candidates

Every year a large number of fake candidates are caught in the UP Board examinations. Salwar gang has also been exposed in Firozabad and surrounding areas. Such gangs provide solvers to take the examination along with fake admit cards.

Despite all the strictness of the board and the government, fake candidates get admission in the centres, to stop this the board is considering taking the help of Aadhaar this time.

Under this, the admit card of every student reaching the examination center will be matched with the Aadhar card containing photo. With this, fake attendance in the examination will be detected immediately.

All the board candidates already have AAPAR ID, which is linked to Aadhaar. In such a situation, it will be very easy to link the admit card with Aadhaar number. If this system is implemented then fake candidates will not be able to even enter the centre.
