Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. A new Institute Body (IB) has been formed in AIIMS. This time no doctor from Uttar Pradesh has been included in IB. This time, instead of Allahabad University, the Vice Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University has been made a member.

Like before, Gorakhpur Sadar MP Ravikishan Shukla, Salempur MP Ramashankar Rajbhar and former Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma will be present in IB as members. The governing body will be selected from among these.

IB is formed in AIIMS for five years. This committee keeps an eye on the entire system of AIIMS. Important decisions are placed before the committee in meetings held from time to time. Currently, one seat has been kept vacant. Dr. Ashok Prasad was the chairman of the academic committee. Dr. Ashok Jhanvi Prasad, the great grandson of the country's first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad, was the chairman of the standing academic committee at AIIMS Gorakhpur. He had replaced Lieutenant General Dr. Vipin Puri. He was a member of the IB of AIIMS since 2000. He is a resident of Gorakhpur, hence he was always active in providing excellent treatment and problems related to the patients of Gorakhpur, Purvanchal and Bihar.

AIIMS was benefiting from this. Along with him, Dr. Aarti Lal Chandani, former Principal of GSVM Medical College, Kanpur and Dr. Rameshwar Chaurasia of Varanasi were also members. Apart from this, Dr. Vinay Tiwari and Rana Anil Kumar Singh of Delhi were also members.
