Vikas Verma, Modinagar. During mapping in SIR (Voter List Revision) work, data of 13 thousand people of Modinagar tehsil was not found. Most of the people have not provided data to BLO. In such a situation, the names of all these people may be deprived of the voter list.
Therefore the administration has given these people the last chance. Notices have been issued to all these people. They will have to present their documents as evidence before the AERO (Assistant Electoral Registration Officer). A total of 14 AEROs have been appointed, whose duty will be at different booths. This campaign will run for one month. After this people will not get any opportunity.
People have been living in Modinagar for 10-15 years
SIR work is in final stage. The final list has also been published. During this, it came to light that in the year 2003, due to non-appearance of names in the voter list of the district and other reasons, 13 thousand people of Modinagar tehsil could not be included in the SIR. Whereas people claim that they have been living in Modinagar for 10-15 years.
Have even voted in the last elections. These people could not even provide their documents to the BLO. In such a situation, when the data was not found, their names were also not included in the final list. Now the administration has prepared a list of these 13 thousand people and is issuing notices.
People will take these notices and present their documents as evidence before AERO. On that basis AERO will take the final decision. Officials say that this is the result of people not taking SIR work seriously.
SDM, Tehsildar, BDO have also got the responsibility of AERO
A total of 14 AEROs have been deployed in Modinagar tehsil. SDM Modinagar Ajit Kumar Singh, Tehsildar Rajat Singh and BDO have also been given the responsibility of AERO. Earlier there were ten AEROs, now there has been an increase of four. After receiving the notice, people can reach their office with the documents. These documents are 11 including passport, driving license, birth certificate, voter card, PAN card.
People have been given the last opportunity to submit their documents. Notices are being issued to 13 thousand people. There is an appeal to the people to take the SIR seriously.
