Yogi Adityanath is the Chief Minister of Gorakhpur and Pankaj Chaudhary is the BJP State President.
Digital Desk, Jagran, Lucknow: After the election of Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary in the Narendra Modi government as the state president of BJP, the status of Garakhpur district has further increased in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. Now after coming to power, Gorakhpur has also become the center of the state BJP organization.
With Pankaj Chaudhary becoming the BJP state president, Purvanchal's interference in BJP's politics has increased. Especially after coming to power, Gorakhpur area has now become the center of the organization. Yogi Adityanath already has the command of the government as the Chief Minister, whereas Pankaj Chaudhary, who now holds the top post of the state organization, is also from Gorakhpur. No one was sure that Gorakhpur would be equipped with so much power.
Dr. Radha Mohan Das Aggarwal, who was the MLA of Gorakhpur city, was upgraded and sent to Rajya Sabha. He was given the post of General Secretary in the central organization of BJP and was also made in-charge of some states. Shiv Pratap Shukla has been made the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.

Shiv Pratap Shukla was also made the Minister of State for Finance at the Center after being sent to the Rajya Sabha. When Shiv Pratap Shukla's tenure in Rajya Sabha ended, he was thrown out of electoral politics and made the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.

Kamlesh Paswan, MP from Bansgaon of Gorakhpur district, is the Minister of State for Rural Development in the Central Government. He is a third time MP.

Before his hat-trick, his mother Subhavati had also been an MP from the same seat on Samajwadi Party ticket. Kamlesh's brother Vimlesh Paswan is the MLA from Basgaon. His father Om Prakash Paswan has also been an MLA.
