Jagran correspondent, Lucknow. Today's Weather: The weather has been fluctuating across the state for the last three-four days. Many districts of eastern UP and western regions, including the capital, remained wrapped in dense fog in the morning, but the weather became better after the sun emerged by around 10:30.
According to the Meteorological Department, dense fog is forecast in Lucknow and surrounding districts for the next two days. However, the minimum temperature will increase during this period. Due to the impact of the second western disturbance, there may be sporadic rain in western Uttar Pradesh on 22 and 23 January. The effect of fog will start reducing in the central and eastern states from January 20. Barabanki was the coldest night in the state. According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, Barabanki was the coldest district on Saturday. The minimum temperature here reached 3.5 degrees, while Hardoi stood second with a temperature of 3.6 degrees. The lowest minimum temperature of the season was recorded in Lucknow at 4.4 degrees.

Due to the effect of western disturbance, there has been a drop in night temperature for the last few days, but now gradually the effect of cold wave and cold will reduce. After January 20, the minimum and maximum temperatures will increase by three degrees Celsius. The cold wave period will end in western Uttar Pradesh also.
After 48 hours, the minimum temperature is expected to increase by three-four degrees Celsius. In most of the districts, the weather will become better as the fog clears up as the day progresses, but the effect of melting will remain from evening till around 10 in the morning. Fog is expected to reduce across the state from January 20.
