Digital Desk, New Delhi. The joint military exercise 'Inspired Gambit 2026' conducted between the US and Pakistan with the aim of enhancing joint capabilities in counter-terrorism operations, honing infantry skills and strengthening operational synergy between the two armies concluded at the National Counter Terrorism Center in Pabbi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This exercise ran from 8 to 16 January. A statement issued by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said that during the exercise, both the armies paid special attention to training related to joint combat strategies, field operations and anti-terrorism operations.

Signs of reactivation of cooperation

Such exercises strengthen the long-standing defense relationship between the US and Pakistan. This military exercise has taken place at a time when there are signs of reactivation of cooperation between the defense establishments of the two countries.

Joint military training, defense deals and relatively positive and cordial comments from US President Donald Trump towards Pakistan's military leadership in recent months reflect the growing closeness in military-to-military relations between the two countries.
