Four cyber thugs of an inter-state gang who were withdrawing money from the account by changing the debit card in the name of helping at the ATM booth, have been arrested. With the help of Bihar STF, Patna Cyber ​​Police station has caught them. Four mobile phones have been recovered from them. During interrogation, the names of more than a dozen members of this gang were also revealed, in search of whom the police of cyber station is conducting raids.

The accused were identified as Dheeraj Kumar, Praveen Kumar, Anand Kumar and Vijay Kumar Singh. All are residents of Bodh Gaya and Gayaji. Dheeraj is the leader of this gang. This gang was systematically carrying out incidents of ATM fraud within and outside the state for a long time. Apart from Bihar, it was also active in Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh.

Used to target the elderly and women

A case was registered against the arrested criminals at Patna Cyber ​​Police Station last year. After identification of the accused, Cyber ​​Station Police and STF were busy searching for them. After doing technical research, the police arrested all of them from different districts.

This gang used to target elderly people and women at ATM booths. On the pretext of helping, they would change their ATM card or withdraw money from the account after knowing the PIN number. Unguarded ATMs were the target. Many times this gang used to put Feviquick in the card reader of ATM. So that the card gets stuck in the machine. They used to write on the number in the booth, which they said belonged to the engineer.

Active in many districts of Bihar

Investigation has also revealed that apart from Patna, the accused were active in many districts of Bihar including Hajipur, Arrah, Sasaram. Not only this, they have also carried out incidents of ATM fraud several times at other places including Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Dhanbad of Jharkhand and Rewa, Satna of Madhya Pradesh.
