Weaker section tops the priority of Yogi government

Digital Desk, Lucknow. In Uttar Pradesh, the resolve of 'Antyodaya' is now visible on the ground in the form of pucca houses. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government has provided permanent houses to a record 3.72 lakh families under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana (Rural), laying a milestone towards inclusive development. Launched in February 2018, this scheme has brought light to the lives of tribals, disabled people and disaster victims, who stood at the back of the queue for government benefits for decades.

Yogi government has ensured through this scheme that the benefits of development are not limited to figures but reach the most needy people. Sensitivity and transparency have been given priority in the list of housing allotment. According to the data, maximum 93,300 pucca houses have been handed over to the victims of natural disaster and 91,062 pucca houses have been handed over to the disabled people. Along with this, the Musahar community, considered the most backward in the society, has been linked to the mainstream of social security by providing 50,000 houses and more than 41,000 houses to destitute widow women.

Decades of wait is over, got their right: This scheme has proved to be a boon for those communities who did not have a permanent house to call their own even after many decades of independence. Due to the vision of Yogi government, for the first time the deprived classes like Vantangiya, Tharu, Kol, Sahariya, Chero, Baiga, Nat and Banjara have got the opportunity to live a dignified life on a large scale. This initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has not only given a roof over the heads of these families, but has also provided them a new identity and the strength of self-reliance.
