Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. The weather has remained dry in Uttarakhand for the last several days. Due to strong sunshine from the mountains to the plains, temperatures are being recorded higher than normal. However, there is a possibility of the weather taking a turn in the state from today. The Meteorological Center has issued a forecast of light rainfall in seven districts of the state and snowfall on higher peaks.
On Wednesday too, most of the areas including Doon witnessed bright sunshine since morning. However, there was light fog at some places in the plains. But, relief from cold was felt due to sunshine during the day. However, the wait for rain still continues from mountains to plains. The weather patterns are expected to change for the next few days from today.
According to the Meteorological Department, today there may be light rain at some places in Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag districts, while at isolated places in Dehradun, Haridwar, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts. There may be snowfall in areas at altitude of 2800 meters and above. The weather is expected to remain dry in the remaining districts of the state. The sky will be mainly clear throughout the day in Doon. It may become partly cloudy in the evening, while light rain with thunder is possible during the night.
