Samvad Sutra Jagran, Barkot/Uttarakashi. A sudden fire broke out in a wooden residential building in the remote village Basrali of Barkot tehsil. The family members somehow saved their lives by running away. In the fire, the daily essentials, jewellery, clothes and bedding etc. kept in the house were burnt to ashes. Prima facie the cause of the fire is being said to be short circuit.
Household items, bed and clothes etc. got burnt in the fire, short circuit is said to be the reason.
Last Saturday night, a fire broke out in the two-storey building made of cedar wood of Jaspal, son of Madan Singh Rawat, resident of remote Basrali village under Barkot tehsil of Uttarkashi district. People somehow saved their lives by coming out. Hearing the song, the villagers reached there and controlled the fire with water and saved it from spreading. By then all the gold ornaments, 60 rupees worth of cash, clothes and bedding and food items kept in the house were burnt to ashes.
Fortunately, there was no loss of life or animals in the accident. The victim has informed the local administration and has also inspected the spot and requested for appropriate compensation.
