In this case, the main accused and husband of the deceased, Satyendra Kumar, has been arrested by the police. After his arrest, he is being interrogated and further legal action is being taken.

Five accused have been sent to jail in the past

In this murder case, the police have already arrested five accused including the brother-in-law of the deceased, a sub-inspector and sent them to jail. Hariharnath police station chief said that after the arrest of the main accused, continuous raids are being conducted in search of the remaining absconding accused.

It is noteworthy that on the midnight of January 17, Kartaha elderly resident Sarita Prakash was murdered and her body was thrown in a Scorpio vehicle at the door of a house in Chidiya Bazaar under Hariharnath police station area of ​​Sonpur. The matter came into limelight after the video of throwing the dead body went viral on the internet media.

The father of the deceased had lodged an FIR

After the incident, the police sent the body to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. After this, the father of the deceased, who is a resident of Chidiya Bazar of Hariharnath police station area, had filed a named FIR against five people including Sarita's husband Satyendra Kumar. Considering the seriousness of the matter, SIT was formed under the leadership of Sonpur Additional Superintendent of Police Pritish Kumar on the instructions of the Senior Superintendent of Police of Saran.

Inspector Santosh Rajak's role suspicious

As part of the investigation, on January 21, raids were conducted at different places and Sarita's father-in-law Jitan Singh, his sons Prince Kumar and Rakesh Kumar were arrested and sent to jail. The Scorpio vehicle used in dumping the dead body was recovered from Inspector Santosh Rajak's in-laws house, Lalganj police station area.

Important evidence found from Scorpio

During the investigation by the forensic team, blood stains and hair were recovered from the Scorpio. When the role of Inspector Santosh Rajak was found suspicious in the investigation, he was arrested and sent to jail. Santosh Rajak was posted at Panapur Kanti police station in Muzaffarpur district, who was suspended after his arrest.

Police investigation continues, preparations for further arrest
