Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. Often the role of police seems limited to law enforcement, but on Thursday afternoon Vijayanagar Police changed this perception. The team checking vehicles at the intersection, on receiving information, did not investigate but ran towards saving lives. This story of bringing back the breath from a hanging person in a closed room became an example of the human face of the police.

The iron door was locked from inside

On December 25, Inspectors Satish Dhama, Ashok Kumar and Sanjeev Kumar were engaged in checking operation at the T-point of Vijayanagar police station area. Then a woman approached the police in a panic state and told that her 25-year-old brother Hero had hanged himself inside the house and the room was locked from inside. As soon as the information was received, the three policemen along with the woman ran to the house located at Shivpuri street number six. The iron door of the room was locked from inside.

the young man almost fainted

The police tried to break it, but did not succeed and a child was sent inside the room by breaking the window. When the child opened the latch, the policemen without wasting time cut the noose and brought the young man down. The young hero was completely unconscious. According to Inspector Satish Dhama, he along with other Inspectors gave CPR to the young man for about 10 minutes due to which his heartbeat came back. When they brought him down from the noose, the young man had almost become unconscious.

Policemen will be rewarded

After this the young man was admitted to Pratap Vihar hospital. Where after treatment his condition is now said to be completely normal and stable. Investigation revealed that the youth had taken this step due to domestic dispute and mental stress. ACP Kotwali Ritesh Tripathi said that the policemen have done better work, hence they will be rewarded.
