Dialogue partner, Solan. The X-ray pictures circulated on internet media are generated by AI. This claim has been made by the management of Regional Hospital Solan.
The hospital management says that the cockroach seen in the X-ray photographs is not in the body of any patient, but is a part of editing of the photographs. Different versions of this post were also circulated in the names of Baddi and Shimla hospitals, further spreading the misinformation.
The hospital administration says that the X-ray machines are completely safe, modern and certified by regular testing.
Medical Superintendent (MS) of Solan Hospital, Dr. Rakesh Panwar said that the post is false. He has requested people not to spread such misleading posts.
It is being claimed in this post that a live cockroach was found in the chest of a foreign tourist. Three edited X-ray copies have been included in the post. It is written that the Singaporean tourist suffered chest pain, after which he reached the regional hospital, Solan.
After undergoing an X-ray there, he was reportedly told that a live cockroach was visible in his chest and advised him to immediately return to Singapore.
Later the doctors came to know that this cockroach was not present inside the patient, but in the X-ray machine.
After seeing these pictures circulated, a situation of confusion arose among the patients and many people started getting X-rays done in outside labs instead of government hospitals.
Now the hospital management has said that the X-ray procedure is safe and proper verification is done after every test in the hospital.
