Sanjay Kumar, Jagran Ranchi. Sunita Haldekar, All India Co-President of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, said in Ranchi on Sunday that Vande Mataram is not just two words, but the entire song awakens national consciousness. Its real significance lies in the song as a whole. The entire creation takes us to the heights of nationality, culture and spirituality where nature, culture, knowledge and power exist together.

Vande Mataram is the voice of the soul of India. Sunita Haldekar was talking to Dainik Jagran in Ranchi on Sunday on the topic of Vande Mataram. He said that even after 150 years, Vande Mataram is not just a memory, but it is a guide to the future of India. It teaches us that the nation is a living cultural entity. National service is not just a duty, it is penance and meditation.

Motherland is not just land, it is consciousness, identity and existence. The respect that the entire form of this song has received from the Central Government is not just a respect for history, it is a sign of the renaissance of Indian civilization. In this song, Bharatmata has been portrayed as a combination of all three forms of Lakshmi (prosperity), Saraswati (wisdom) and Durga (power).

It is noteworthy that on 10 February 2026, the Government of India has announced that now all six stanzas of Vande Mataram (about 3 minutes 10 seconds) will be sung in national programs before the national anthem. It will be sung during the arrival and departure of the President, the national flag programme, the Padma Award ceremony and all government events. Daily prayers in schools will start with Vande Mataram. Haldekar said that this is not a punitive order, but a cultural restoration.

Therefore, the necessity of Vande Mataram in the centenary year of the Sangh is an invaluable honor for Dr. Hedgewar.

Lakshmibai Kelkar (aunt), the founder of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, had a dream that Vande Mataram should become the national anthem. For this reason, every program of the committee ends with Vande Mataram. Aunty's dream has come true when the Central Government took the decision to sing all the six verses of Vande Mataram.

It is the resolution of Rashtra Sevika Samiti that the singing of Vande Mataram should become the eternal rhythmic music, weapons, scriptures and divine mantras of the original mind of India and Mother India should be re-established in the court of the world. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has also passed a resolution regarding this on completion of 150 days of Vande Mataram.
