Wagon-R Car Drowned In Pond In Sonbhadra, Pulled Out After Hours Of Effort

Jagran correspondent, Sonbhadra (Ghorawal). A four wheeler car drowned in the pond in Bardiya of the area on Tuesday night. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and were successful in pulling out the vehicle. There has been no loss of life in this incident. It was told that the driver tried to save himself by jumping on the road before the vehicle went into the pond, due to which he got injured. The vehicle is said to belong to Mahesh Gupta, a resident of Bardiya.

According to incident information, it took hours of effort to free the Wagoneer car. The ambulance and fire brigade teams that reached the spot had to return as there was no serious condition. The police have taken the vehicle into their custody. Kotwali in-charge inspector Vinod Yadav and Shivdwar outpost in-charge Kavindra Yadav also reached the spot.

Mahesh Gupta, who was riding the car, suffered minor external injuries but has been sent to the hospital for a CT scan due to chest injuries. Mahesh Gupta is working on the contractual post of computer operator of RK office in Ghorawal tehsil.

The incident occurred around 11 pm, when Mahesh Gupta was returning to his home from Ghoraval. On the way, his eyes were dazzled by the headlights of a tipper coming from Madhya Pradesh, due to which he left the road and started moving towards the pond. To save his life, he decided to jump from the car, after which the car went into the pond. Mahesh Gupta's wisdom saved him from a serious situation.

The police have taken necessary action in this matter and have taken the vehicle into their custody and started investigation. The local administration has also assured to consider security measures after this incident, so that such incidents can be avoided in future.
