Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. The Crime Branch team has arrested the wanted criminal of Bavaria Gang, who was involved in 34 criminal cases registered in Delhi and UP. He was declared a fugitive in six cases of robbery, snatching and murder and wanted in 12 criminal cases.
A non-bailable warrant was issued against him. The accused has been identified as Sanjay alias Jhallu of Jhinjhana, UP, who was running an organized crime syndicate with the help of his associates and was found hiding in Mandi Govindgarh, Punjab.
According to Deputy Commissioner Harsh Indora, the team formed under the supervision of ACP Bhagwati Prasad and under the leadership of Inspector Pawan Kumar was engaged in suppressing the accused. Sub Inspector Rajaram and Head Constable Rahul Kumar were busy finding out the exact location of the accused. During investigation, it was revealed that he used to roam between Shamli, Haryana, Punjab and other states of UP.
After tracing his location for two consecutive weeks, it was found that he was in Govindgarh Mandi, Punjab. On receiving information, the team left for Punjab and with the help of local intelligence and technical help, a raid was conducted on December 7 and he was nabbed from his house.
Was released on bail in 2021
During interrogation, it was revealed that in the year 2019, he and his associates Anuj and Sonu were arrested in Ghaziabad. In December 2021, he was released on bail and started snatching and robbing again. In 2022, he was once again arrested and sent to Delhi jail.
Later in 2022, he is released from jail. After this, he again indulged in snatching and robbery with his associates and never attended the court hearing.
