Jagran correspondent, Khoda. People are facing water problem in Khoda Colony area for a long time. The situation is that people have to pay money to get their water tanks filled through tankers. Because the population of 12 lakh here is dependent on 70 tankers. People say that some of these tankers are faulty and some do not come daily. Due to this, water is not available as per requirement.
People say that the water situation in the area is very bad. Somehow the work is going on. There is a lot of trouble due to lack of water. Many times we have to manage by borrowing water from each other. Those who have submersibles have laid a water pipe from their neighbour's house to their own house.
I have been tied up with my neighbor for a month. Gives Rs 500 every month. Not only this, drinking water also has to be purchased and consumed. Due to water problem it is becoming very difficult to live here. Before elections, leaders come to seek votes and promise to solve the water problem, but after winning the elections the situation changes. People say that unless Ganga water is supplied, the water problem here will remain permanent.

At the time of elections, candidates come to ask for votes in the name of Ganga water. After this no one looks back. It is more important to solve the problem of Ganga water than doing politics.

The problem of water in Khoda is so big that apart from this there is no visible problem. The worry about water keeps troubling me day and night. Relief will be available only when Ganga water is supplied.
