It rained heavily late night
Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. The morning of Vasant Panchami dawned with strong wind and swirling clouds. On Friday, the bright sunshine that had been shining for the past few days faded away and it remained cloudy throughout the day. As soon as the evening came, it started raining heavily along with thunder, which cleared the weather and welcomed spring. However, during the day, strong winds raised clouds of dust, causing problems for people in travelling.
The Meteorological Department has predicted the sky to clear during the next 48 hours and the next round of rain will start from January 27. According to the data received from the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature was recorded at 20.1 and minimum 8.4 degrees Celsius on Friday. It was cloudy since morning, there was some sunshine in the afternoon, but then the sun hid behind the clouds.
Cold wind continued to blow throughout the day, due to which clouds of dust were seen flying on the roads at many places. It became difficult for pedestrians to even travel. As soon as evening it started drizzling, at around six in the evening it started raining heavily with thunder. To avoid this, people were seen taking help of balconies and safe places. Two-wheeler riders were seen traveling intermittently to protect themselves from getting wet.
The same situation continued till late evening, due to falling temperature cold was felt in the evening. According to Regional Weather Forecasting Center in-charge Atul Kumar Singh, due to clear sky during the next 48 hours, there is a possibility of a gradual increase in the maximum temperature along with an immediate drop of three to five degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature. Due to the influence of Western Disturbance, the next round of rain is likely to start from January 27 and continue till January 28 with a gradual increase.
