Weather Update: Winter In Agra, Temperature Dropped By 3 Degrees To Reach 8.1 Degrees Celsius.

Jagran correspondent, Agra. There was no fog in Agra on Tuesday in the scorching cold but people remained shivering due to cold wind. Cold wind blew till 8 in the morning, due to which the minimum temperature reached three degrees Celsius below normal. The minimum temperature was 8.1 degrees Celsius. Earlier on December 6 also the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.1 degrees Celsius. A drop in temperature was recorded due to cold wind blowing at night.

No fog in the morning, mercury reached three degrees Celsius below normal

After dense fog at night, the clouds cleared in the morning. There was no fog but the melting increased due to cold wind. Due to this, the minimum temperature dropped by 3.1 degrees Celsius from normal, reaching 8.1 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was recorded at 26.1 degrees Celsius. After four o'clock in the evening, cold wind started blowing. After 10 o'clock in the morning the sun started getting stronger and people remained troubled by the biting cold at night. The Meteorological Department has predicted that there may be fog in the morning for a few days and the morning temperature may drop.

The air of Sanjay Place is the most polluted

Due to absence of fog, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Agra has reached below 200. The worst AQI was recorded in Sanjay Place, where AQI was 189. Along with fine particles, the levels of carbon monoxide (CO), ozone and sulfur dioxide (SO₂) remained high due to vehicles getting stuck in traffic jams. This caused problems to patients suffering from respiratory diseases. Whereas, the lowest AQI was recorded at 141 in Manoharpur Dayalbagh.
