Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given great news to the countrymen on the first day of the new year. Announcing its date, he said that bullet trains will start running in the country from August 15, 2027. He said in a joking tone that buy tickets now to ride the bullet train on the occasion of next year's Independence Day. In the first phase, this train will run between Surat and Vapi, a distance of 100 kilometers.

Let us tell you that there is a plan to run the country's first bullet train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai. After completion of the project, the 508 km journey between the two metro cities can be completed in two hours and 17 minutes. About 55 percent work of the Bullet Train Project has been completed. In November last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also reviewed the project in Surat.
Of the entire route, 352 km lies between Gujarat and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and 156 km lies in Maharashtra. The project is being prepared by National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) in collaboration with Japan. This train will run on the lines of Japan's Shinkansen high-speed train. Its maximum speed will be 320 kilometers per hour. There will be a total of 12 stations in the entire project, of which Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vapi, Thane and Mumbai are the major ones. 85 percent of the project i.e. about 465 kilometers will be elevated, out of which work of 326 kilometers has been completed.

Japan first, China ahead
Bullet trains operate in China, Japan, Spain, France, Germany, South Korea, Italy, and Taiwan. Among these, China has the longest network. Japan first started bullet train in 1964. France and Germany are also major countries in the matter of high-speed rail. Whereas work on bullet train project is going on in America, Indonesia and Morocco.
First Vande Bharat Sleeper will run between Guwahati-Kolkata
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the trial run of the country's first Vande Bharat sleeper train has been completed. This train can run between Guwahati and Kolkata from 18-19 January. During the trial run, the train reached a maximum speed of 180 kmph with 16 coaches. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon flag it off. Vaishnav told that the fare of sleeper Vande Bharat III AC between Guwahati-Howrah can be around Rs 2300. He said that if we talk about air fare, it ranges between six to eight thousand and sometimes even reaches Rs 10 thousand. The fare of second AC coach can go up to Rs 3,000 and the fare of first AC can go up to Rs 3600. He said that by the end of the year, 12 Vande Bharat sleeper trains will be ready to run in the country.
