After the date of Kedarnath is decided, preparations to start Chardham Yatra will be intensified.
According to traditions, after the doors of Baba Kedarnath are closed in winter, daily pujas are held at Panchkedar Gaddisthal Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath. Every year the date of opening and closing of the doors of the temple is fixed.
The date of opening of doors for summer is celebrated on the festival of Mahashivratri. This year Mahashivratri festival is coming on 15th February.
On this day, according to the Panchang calculations of Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath, the date of opening of Kedarnath doors will be announced in the presence of Panchgai, rights holders, temple committee, pilgrim priests and administration at the winter seat of Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath. The temple committee has started preparations in this regard.
Senior Administrative Officer of Kedarnath Temple Committee, Yudhveer Pushwan said that the date of opening of the doors of Lord Kedarnath will be decided on the festival of Mahashivratri.
Along with this, the date of departure of Panchmukhi Chal Vigraha Utsav Doli from Omkareshwar Temple, the winter seat of Kedarnath, will also be announced. Told that the temple committee has started preparations.
