Who was Rob Reiner?
Entertainment Desk, New Delhi. 'When Harry Met Sally' director Rob Reiner and his wife were found stabbed to death in their Los Angeles bungalow. Media reports on Sunday said two people were found dead inside a home in Brentwood, Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Fire Department is said to have confirmed that the ages of those killed were approximately 78 and 68 years old – matching the ages of Renner and his wife Michelle. More information related to this incident has not been released officially yet.
Who was Rob Reiner?
Rob Reiner was an actor, director, and activist, best known for directing the iconic romantic comedy 'When Harry Met Sally' and his early acting success in the 1970s CBS sitcom 'All in the Family'. The son of renowned comedian and writer Carl Reiner, he had a long career in Hollywood, and appeared in or contributed to such films as Sleepless in Seattle (1993), Bullets Over Broadway (1994), EDtv (1999), Everyone's Hero (2006) and The Wolf of Wall Street (2013).

Earning fame from behind the scenes
However, it was behind the camera that Rainer left his mark on cinema. He made his directorial debut in 1984 with the cult classic mockumentary This is Spinal Tap. By the late 1980s, he became one of the industry's most in-demand directors and delivered hits such as Stand by Me, The Princess Bride and When Harry Met Sally. He continued this trend in the 1990s, making Misery and then the courtroom drama A Few Good Men, for which he received an Academy Award nomination.

Renner met photographer Michelle Singer while working on When Harry Met Sally in the late 1980s. The two got married in 1989 and had three children. He had been living in his Brentwood home in Los Angeles for many years.
