State Bureau, Lucknow. The winter session of the Legislature will begin from Friday. In this session, which will run till December 24, along with the presentation of supplementary budget on December 22, Vande Mataram will be discussed for five hours.
In the all-party meeting held at Vidhan Bhavan on Thursday regarding the session, Legislative Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana appealed to all the parties to cooperate in the smooth conduct of the session.
Mahana said that in the last session there were positive discussions on many important issues. With the cooperation of all parties, meaningful solutions to public problems can be achieved through logical, factual and quality discussion on issues of public utility.
Chief Minister and Leader of the House Yogi Adityanath said that the House is an important medium to express the aspirations of the people. In the current session, we will get an opportunity to have meaningful discussions on important issues as well as bills. While discussing the bills, it is necessary to present their actual concept and form in the House. Assured everyone that the government will participate in all discussions and give positive answers to every question and will try to find a solution through suggestions.
The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is the only state to discuss the Uttar Pradesh Vision Document-2047 developed in the last session for 27 hours continuously. 98 lakh suggestions have come from the entire state regarding developed Uttar Pradesh. A vision document will be created in collaboration with IIT Kanpur.
This discussion is being given the format of a book. He said that with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, December 26 is celebrated as Brave Children's Day.
The Chief Minister said that the Election Commission has started the SIR campaign to remove discrepancies in the voter list. Revising the voter list through SIR and including the names of actual voters is a step to strengthen democracy.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said that the House can be run smoothly only with the cooperation of the party and the opposition. The state government is sensitive. The government has taken cognizance of the things said by the members of the House.
In the meeting, Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey, Ram Niwas Verma of Apna Dal (Sonelal), Rajpal Singh Baliyan of Rashtriya Lok Dal, Om Prakash Rajbhar of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, Dr. Sanjay Nishad and Ramesh Singh of Nirbal Indian Shoshit Hamara Aam Dal (Nishad Party), Aradhana Mishra 'Mona' of Congress, Vinod Saroj of Jansatta Dal Loktantrik and Uma Shankar Singh of Bahujan Samaj Party participated in the proceedings of the House without interruption. In the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee held before the all-party meeting, Legislative Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana said that condolences will be expressed for the deceased members on Friday, the first day of the session.
After the holiday on Saturday-Sunday, the supplementary budget for the financial year 2025-26 will be presented on 22 December. On the same day, Vande Mataram will be discussed in the House for five hours. Legislative work and discussions will take place on 23 and 24 December.
