The coldest day of this season was recorded in the morning. When the temperature remained low, the westerly winds pierced the body to such an extent that the weather began to torment people. No change has been made in the alert issued by the Meteorological Department on Monday. According to the alert issued by the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain harsh till January 8.

On Monday morning, fog remained amidst the melting winds. There was some relief as the day progressed but the sky did not clear till 12 noon. Due to the heat of melting in the atmosphere, even those who went out in the morning were seen shivering and baking their hands on the bonfire. As per the predictions of the Meteorological Department, the weather trend remains harsh. It is believed that if the effect of western disturbance becomes effective in the coming days, the melting will increase further. However, according to satellite images, the sky may clear for some time in the afternoon.

The maximum temperature recorded in the last 24 hours was 15.9°C, which was 5.0 degrees below normal. The minimum temperature of the season was recorded at 6.5°C, which was 2.4 degrees below normal. Humidity during this period was recorded as minimum 84% and maximum 92%. While the weather remained foggy in the morning, the effect of fog also reduced as the day progressed. However, with the reduction in fog, there was some relief in melting also. According to the estimates of the Meteorological Department, this trend of weather may continue till January 8.
