Auto victim of accident on Sursand-Sitamarhi NH-227. Awakening
Jagran correspondent, Sitamarhi. Sitamarhi Road Accident: A tragic road accident occurred on Surasand-Sitamarhi NH-227 on Sunday. A female passenger traveling in an auto died on the spot, while the auto driver was seriously injured after a truck collided near a petrol pump located in Suraghiya village of Sursand police station area.
As soon as information about the incident was received, Sursand Police Station Head Lal Kishore Gupta and Parihar Police Station Assistant Sub Inspectors Ajit Kumar and Naseem Akhtar reached the spot along with the police force. The injured auto driver was sent to the Community Health Centre, Sursand, with the help of passersby.
Doctor Mohd. Atiq Nadaf declared the female passenger, Israb Devi, wife of Ruplal Thakur, resident of Harari Dularpur Ward No. 3 of Sursand police station area, dead. The seriously injured auto driver Mohd., son of Basir Mansoori, resident of Bhairokothi village of Sitamarhi police station area. Shammi Mansoori was referred to Sitamarhi Sadar Hospital after first aid.
Parihar police station's assistant sub-inspector Ajit Kumar said that the accident auto (BR-30PA-4477) and truck (BR-01GN-9252) have been seized. During investigation, Nepali liquor was also found inside the auto. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the auto driver was under the influence of alcohol.
The dead woman's body has been sent to Sitamarhi Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The process of filing FIR is going on. According to the information, the auto was going from Surasand towards Sitamarhi at high speed, while the truck was coming from Sitamarhi towards Surasand.
After the collision, the truck driver left the vehicle and ran away. The deceased's husband Ruplal Thakur told that his wife was going to Sitamarhi to bring medicines for their son.
