Dialogue thread, Didai. A woman returning from her sister's house died on the spot after being hit by an unknown vehicle. The matter is in front of Chaurasia Agency located on Bansi-Basti NH road of Shivnagar Didai police station area. The name of the deceased is 35 year old Lakshmi Devi, wife of Ram Bachan. She was a resident of village Ghumchi in the police station area.
Lakshmi Devi was returning home from her sister's house in Didai village at 10 pm on Sunday night. She started crossing the road when she was hit by a speeding vehicle. There was silence on the spot at the time of the incident, hence no information could be obtained about the vehicle. As soon as the information was received, the local police reached the spot and took the body into custody and brought it to the police station.
The relatives reached the police station late in the night. In the presence of relatives, the Panchnama was filled and the body was sent for post-mortem. Lakshmi Devi leaves behind four minor children. The youngest son is only two years old. The children, saddened by the death of their mother, are crying badly.
The deceased's husband Rambachan is worried about how the children will be raised now. In this regard, Police Station Head Arvind Kumar Maurya says that a case has been registered against unknown persons and the vehicle and driver are being searched.
