Jagran correspondent, Karnal. A case of molestation, assault and attempted rape of a woman has come to light in a village of Gharaunda police station area. It is alleged that the young man took the woman who had gone out to find her son into confidence at night, and took her to the fields, where an attempt was made to molest, beat and force her.
The woman somehow escaped from the clutches of the accused and reached the village, running from the fields. After the incident, the victim narrated her entire ordeal to her family members and then approached the police and lodged a complaint. In the complaint given to the police, the victim said that her son had not returned home at around 9.30 pm on January 3. Worried about his son, he called his friend Shakti.
The accused said that his son was with him and he had consumed too much alcohol. He asked the woman to come pick him up and told him to bring the car himself. After some time, the accused reached the street outside the woman's house in a car and called and asked her to come out.
In panic, the woman sat in the car with him, but instead of taking her to her son, the accused took her to his fields. After reaching there, when the woman asked about her son, the accused started molesting her inappropriately and started using force. Gharaunda police station in-charge Deepak Kumar said that a case has been registered. Investigation is being done.
